Has anyone put one in a srx and what did they think of it compared to the pro action. It will be like 19 lbs lighter and be better overall. Want to see if people like the ride and if it transfers like the pro action . I want to put a 121 in my srx and set it 3.5 inches back and run a 128 ripsaw 2. To help with aproach angle.

I have a 121" Mono RA in my 2002 but with the stock shock. I've toyed with the idea of the Fox Float shock upgrade but it's cost prohibitive $$$$$. The transfer rod can be adjusted and does work, just be alert while adjusting towards the max setting as while under hard acceleration the ski's will be off the ground 2-3" and stay there from my experience. Take the rod right out and wheelie away!!! Hope that helps. Sent you a PM as well.

I don't think by placing everything 3.5 inches will effect anything. It will reduce the approach angle and help save weight by not getting a 128 suspension.i have a small 4 inch tunnel extension I will be putting on and moving the heat exchanger back also.

Sorry to get off your original topic here but will you have to use drop brackets for this mod where your moving the skid back?I put an Apex ER skid in my 98 and used the stock rear hole but I would be extremely interested in how you make out with this setup.I'll be putting a track on my sled possibly this fall and I'd really like to go with a 128" rather than the 136" to save a bit of weight but still get some added floatation.

Yes it will need some brackets . I will be doing this in the fall I have the suspension on the way. I still need the track and anti ratchet drivers and the time to do it all.

I will be watchin your progress Pete, I would like to do a mono in Darth Viper. ;)!

I will be posting all the updates. I will be sending the shock out to be rebuilt and checked. Then tear down the whole skid and powdercoat everthing and then install all of my billet wheels and a marginal wheel kit. Put all new bushings and install some grease zerks where there r needed. I have the rear mounts out of the apex sled so this will help me with the placement on my srx. I can't wait to feel this set up with my white sled . 18 lbs lighter and a lot better than that pro action will be sweet. I should be whooping up on more 800 cc sleds next winter.

3 1/2 back from the first or front hole will put you were the tunnel meets the chassis with a small channel there. Not a big deal but keep that in mind.

.

The front hole ( first hole for the mono shock ) without moving it back the 3.5 like he wants to do is behind the connection of the tunnel and bulkhead anyways so he'll be ok. I putting the mono in mine right now I got the template from 03viper I have to trim the template down to get low enough on the tunnel to mount it but I should work really well I hope. Ill be making a post as well.

Where did you get the short extension from? I'm looking for something similar (putting a 128" Cat skid into my Viper).

It is a piece from a 98 mountain srx sled. It will be a custom mount job.
