Hey, in the process of a complete rehaul on my No Action Skid. I'm trying to put my shock and spring back into the top mount. The diagram in my repair manual says both the oil seal and washer go inside the mount, is this right? If so seems like an awfully tight fit. The picture is just the plastic washer/oil seal on the inside, the other metal washers and on the left just hanging on the bolt till I figure out how this goes. If the metal washers do go on the inside are their any tricks to get those in there?

Really, not one person has put the main shock back on? Am I the only one left with the Pro-Action skid?

those steel washers do not go on that end of the shock. They look like the thick washers that go on the lower end at the fra. you should have a total of 4 washer for the fra mount. The upper you pictures just uses a bolt/nut with two plastic washers straddling the collar the bolt goes through on the sides of the shock.

That's what I would have thought but in the microfiche below number 58 looks like it is supposed to go in that shock with 57 which is the plastic washer. 58 is described as Washer Plate. Am I mistaken? Just don't want to put my skid back together wrong.

So is it unanimous? I only put the oil seals on the inside? Then just the nut and bolt on the outside? Anyone got a picture where, the shock washers are clearly visible? I've looked through pretty much all the working logs and there are no clearly visible shock bolt pics.

The oil seals are flush with the shock body eye, the plastic washers are what you already have inside the mount. The steel washers go someplace else. Normally the oil seals do not come out as they help hold the bearing and sleeve (collar) in place.
So your picture is already correct (minus the steel washers). You just have the wrong names on the parts you see.
