Are 02 viper powervalves the same as 01 srx powervalves?

The do look the same but have different part numbers.

If I look on the yamaha parts fiche the part numbers are the same.

I buy Yamaha parts through Partzilla.com, when you click on the part number of the part your are looking at it will list all the sleds that part fits. When I click on the part number for the SRX valve it shows that it only fits the SRX's.

Viper valves are about 1/4 in longer on the blade end

Yes, they modified the valve for the Viper engine. It was supposed to clean better according to the Tech Update in '02.

Theres 3 different versions/styles of valves. SRX 600 uses its own, SRX 700 Uses it own, and Viper(all 700 as far as I know) Uses its own. Flea bay sellers will tell you they are all the same and the are not!
