I scored a set of brand new sled trends from rox on eBay. Said they were a warehouse leftover found in the back. They do not have any inserts. Does any one have any ideas for a substitute for the inserts or a old set laying around? I was thinking any of the floorboard mats would work but have no experience with these. Thanks

rox treads
i have them on a couple sleds heres a pic hope it helps
the black closed cell foam is about 1/2 thick and takes up the space next to the rolled edge of the floorboards. the treads actually lean in towards the tunnel putting the treads on a slight angle.

It's 1/2 " foam or maybe 1/4" can't remember ....I would think you could get it from Home Depot or lows or something ..it's there just to take up the space so snow doesn't get between ...sooo maybe something else would work

I had the foam under mine. I removed the treads to paint my sled. I didn't put anything under them when i put 'em back on. The foam just held the dirt, made it hard to clean, and insulated the snow from the exchanger. So it would build up and freeze. The nice thing with Yamaha coolers, is that they melt the snow. Mine has been foamless for 2 seasons. No issues.

Mine are also different from the pic above in that they overlap the factory foot rest in the front. Mine are a little longer than the pic.

Thanks for the info. I think no foam sounds good. So since these do not mount directly to the running boards and are about 1/2 inch up from existing boards once mounted, flexing is not a issue?. Have not had a chance to really look at them yet, but they look strong.

Man...that sounds good not putting that foam in the heat exchanger would melt the snow anyways....
I put them on my 02 Polaris and they worked awesome and made the running boards stronger to boot....

I have some yamaha foam ones in mine the ones that r in the accessory book. They also come with a blue plastic thin piece on the foam between the rox tread. U could cut up a blue antifreeze jug and get the plastic u need. Call me If u want i can explain the tread on the side if u want. 616-318-4560.

Thanks Pete. I'm going up north next weekend so I'll be able to see how they mount to the sled a little better. If I have any questions then I'll call ya!
