There is a set of "Bender Trail Pipes" for a Yamaha Viper on my local CL. Are these the pipes you talk about when you say adding a set of pipes to a Viper and it will stick with an SRX?
What are they worth? Also are they very loud, to the point you may get a ticket for noise?

I got a set of these a few years ago for $300 bucks off ebay. I think they run $250 to $450 online. By far not going to get a ticket with these pipes. They have a nice sound but not too loud. And yea these pipes make a viper haul. I believe pipes on a viper will beat a stock srx no problem. Vipers have different porting then a srx and have hotter timing from what ive heard. The mpg will drop a bit on a viper but the power is worth it!!

The Viper I bought this winter has Bender pipes and it sounds nice and tough, but not too loud. I got checked three times by the police for my registration and club membership and they never even mentioned my pipes.

mine aren't loud at all, runs pretty even with my srx, its a pretty good running srx for stock motor. I do think with a little more time tuning it will take the srx though.

same pipes I have on my Viper Mountain. I have a bunch of youtube videos Its at its loudest when running water.
I get lots of compliments on the sound. Even from Non Yamaha folks.

Here are a couple of links.
Please note I had the sealed back on the gopro. The open one makes the sound better-clearer. I think you will get teh idea.

A viper with pipes will beat up on stock srxs all day, but only if you get the clutching right. So factor in the cost of heel clicker clutch kit and helix. Also a tourqe arm is mandatory with pipes and especially with clutching. if you get any sort of traction your engine is gonna move like crazy, lose speed and cook some belts
