Oil pump cable question

This may sound kind of stupid but will a Mountain Max oil pump cable work on an SRX? I'm looking to get a longer cable than stock but want to stay with Yamaha parts rather than a/m ones.I am going out on a limb here and assuming the cable fastens to the oil pump the same way?

I just took a look at my sleds, I have an sx700 and a srx 700, the pumps are different but it almost looks like the cable hooks up the same way.

same cables as far as fitment, but if your going to add risers or you want a longer cable, the ones from the 03 mtn viper are what you want. must be 03 and must be mtn viper! pay close attention when ordering, the part numbers must start with 8EN!
