Need help splitting the crank case of a SRV!

I have tried hitting it with a plastic mallet, taking a thin putty knife to it and this thing will not budge! Please help!

towel pins are rusted. their should be a pry point on that case where you should be able to work it free. possibley some heat on seam 3:16 (yammie tony)
