Whats the difference?

Not trying to start a war here but whats the difference between the 700 power valve motor on srx's and the 700 redhead on sxr's and vmax's? And yes I'm aware that one has power valves. Is one better than the other? Looking at a 97 vmax 700 red head with low miles. Just trying to figure out what to get. Wish I had enough for a new 4 stroke yami

The redhead 700 has 110-115 hp
The viper 700 120+ hp
The srx 140+ hp

They are all reliable sleds but the red head is less maintenence
Because you don't have to clean power valves

My buddy has a read head with a little clutching and it would stay side
By side with my viper.
Now I have an srx
 
Don't pass on a good ol SRX, They are bullet proof as well
 
I have a 99 sitting in my yard that is CLEAN. 5xxx miles. Very well maintained machine. I traded it for a quad a few weeks back. Its going to be parted out. PM me if you want to see it...

LOVE THE SX. BEST MOTOR YAMAHA (triple) EVER BUILT. HAVE RUN FOUR. SRX GIVES YA MOST POWER, SX RESTRICTED SOME, BUT PORTING HUGE. THEY WILL FLY. 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
I have a ported, piped, mountain max that I'd entertain selling if interested. 144 x 2 track with an older polaris/holz skid and various other things done to it. Has about 5K on the sled, 2500 on the motor. Runs like a top. Rode it part of this year while I was working the bugs out a a new to me turbo apex. Not looking to give it away as it costs me nothing to keep and I'd have to pick up another sled to have as a spare, but.... I'd prefer a 4-stroke.

Buddy of mine has a really clean, basically stock 600 sx with less than 2K on it that he's looking to get rid of. That one is a 136 x 2. Same redhead motor, just smaller bore.
