The sled I just got is basically stripped. Was checking out the power valve motor last night with a test lead from Bender..No movement at all..Just hope n no other disconnected things like TPS is causing this..Any feedback would help,Thanx..

Not familiar with Benders test lead kit But usual test kit isolates any input from sled. Just a positive and negative, I would suspect motor is toast. Should be able to find one on here relatively cheap.

I thought the test lead plugged into the test port... I have seen the CDI go too...

I have a home made rig made up by another member. You unplug the harness from the servo and then plug the rig into it. I have yet to use it, I have ben doing the below 900 rpm trick.

Did the 900 rpm trick, its working...I guess my tester is bad..

Looking at Bender's site re: the "power valve synchronizing tool" - it looks like a jumper that supplies external 12 volts to the sled's test port. Not sure what the third (white) wire is for but it looks like the jumper I and many others have made. Applying 12 volts to the red and black wires of the test connector (triangular, three wire hardshell) should move the servo.

The jumper comes in handy when you want to adjust the PV on a non-running sled (i.e. before putting it together).

I have used the power valve tester many times. You plug it into the test port. Key switch on and apply power to the leads. Works great!
