I have been trying to convert Yamaha secondary springs into "lbs compression", pre-load and full shift force. EPI lists their Yamaha secondary springs in pounds, 1.25 inch or pre-load and 2.5 full shift. This would suggest that the moveable shiv travels along the axis 1.25 inches from start to full shift.
Team lists the full shift as 1.12 inches travelled. This is from a drawing of Team helixs in a parts book. Team springs are rated at 2.2 inch and 1.1 inch. The differnce is 1.1, the distance travelled.
Stock Yamaha secondary is opening 1.25 inches and Team is only opening 1.12 inches? If so, this is about a 10% differrance.
Is this why people comment they loose top end with Team clutches?
I find it easier to think in lbs.
