I need to replace the bushing in my secondary on my SRX, is it possible to change them without a press or any special tools?

Prob is but it literally takes 2 mins to pop out and put in new one. Idk how well you know your local techs bring em in a six pack towards end of day they prob do it right there for you

If you have a friend that works as a machinist get him to make you a slug that is stepped so that it's the same OD to fit the outside of the bushing but is turned down just enough that some of fits inside the bushing for stability while pressing on it.Otherwise use a machine shop to make you one because you'll be surprised how much you'll use it especially if your doing all your own clutch maintanance.
I was fortunate to have a friend working at a local mill make me a slug for doing this work and if you want I can take a pic or 2 to show you how he did it.

Mine was made from a large nut and machined down and hopefully you'll be able to see from the pics how it was turned down in 2 steps, one fits against the outside edge of the bushing and the smaller step fits inside the bushing to keep it straight when it's being pushed out.

I have some friends that work for a stainless fab place, I'll have to see if they could make something like that for me. Do you use a press to drive the bushing in? I don't have a press but I do have a porta power, maybe I could make that work somehow. Thanks for the pics!

I have used a press but it's not mandatory lol.My bud included a piece threaded rod the same size and I can use a hammer GENTLY to push the old bushing out and the new one in.
