I have about $1700 to spend and have been looking at the sx700r's I like them but maybe I could get something a bit newer. I am yamaha for life. Any advice or know anyone selling please let me know. thank you

you won't go wrong with a 700 SXR,one of the most bullet proof triples ever built and with a little tweaking..it will out run the SRX..ask sideshowbob..his 700 non power valved sleds with triple pipes and good clutching out runs his SRX.Anything newer you are about to hit the 4 strokers..more money then..You will be very happy with a 700 SXR..basically just gas her up and it will run forever..

my first sled, a 2001 sxr 700. very happy, very easy to work on. if you do go an sxr try to get the 2001 or newer. they have the dual head light and "better" 300w ignition system. only thing is it seems that my hand warmers are never realy hot and dont heat up as fast as the older single head light 180w system(my dads sled). i dont know if this is a common problem, or just nature of the beast.

I have an m10 im polishing now to put in my 01. My 99 i put one in that w the skmmons skis. Totally dif sled was night and day better

So the sx700r i was looking at got sold but i found a 01 srx 700 with around 7000 miles for $1400 is this a good deal or should I get an sx700r with 4300 miles for $1600

Spend the extra $200 on the sxr great machine. I love my srx but do miss my redhead

If your willing to do the extra work and run premium then I would get the srx but the sxr you dont need to run premium and for 1600 isn't to bad for a sled with 4300 miles on it
