Picked up a nice used m10 for the srx. I have another srx that already has an m10. I was thinking about drilling out the rivets and using the mounts as a template to make a set for the other sled...is this foolish, should I just bite the bullet and buy a mounting kit.
Part of me wants to do this because whoever mounted the first m10 used steel rivets and they are rusting...kinda want to replace them with alum. rivets.....

Id say go for it as long as you use a similar material for the homemade mount kit.
Good luck

Don't you want to use stainless steel rivets, vs. aluminum? Stainess are like 3X stronger.
