Track off the ground, primary clutch engages and spins the track at apx 26-2800 rpm. B93 750 v4. Too low? The manual says 3600 rpm.

So it should engage at the proper rpm whether it's on a stand or not? Maybe this is why the machine had a low end bog. I thought it was dirty carbs but I cleaned them good.

Depends on the how much track "spin" your talking. Pretty common to creep or even get a decent little clip going at idle even. If you can lower the sled to where track touches ground (stopping it) and idle changes I agree clutch needs attention.

Doesn't creep at all at idle-1500rpm. Maybe track is too tight? I ordered a new springs for both clutches anyway. The belt is new as well as the hyfax.

SO IDLES AT 1500. YOU START TO TACH IT UP AND CLUTCH ENGAGES AT 2900. THAN TRACK WILL SPIN OVER. FIRST OFF TRACK PROBLEY TIGHT, NEW BELT PROBLEY HAS YOUR DEFLECTION OFF, SPRING IN PRIMARY IS GASED, SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE AFEW THINGS GOING ON. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Its deff common for the track to creep when its on a stand, especially if you have a new belt. Be sure that when you say the clutch is engaging, thats what its doing. Meening the primary clutch sheave actually moves inward, not just dragging the belt as it spins. You may have to run it with the hood open so you can actually see it move/engage.
Its probably easier to check with an old worn out belt.
Good luck

BTW Where abouts in Flint are you?

I loosened track a little to specs. I also installed new secondary spring and new helix. The track did creep slightly. Move a little , then stop, move a little. If a squeeze throttle quickly the primary engages about 2800 rpm. If I slowly build up the rpms, it will engage at 3600 rpms.
I'm about 30 minutes south of Flint,23 and m59

primary could be sticking some , but engagement that low is spring bad. your engagement will be way higher with that new spring. thats good advise, through a old belt on, see what it dose. 3:16 (yammie tony)

750 vmax 4 secondary ? or you switch to 800. dose your belt seem tight. you hearing a squeal. dude, this is not the end of the world. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Switched to 800. Belt not tight and no squeal.Probably should wait till snow on the ground to fine tune it. Putting new primary spring in anyway as soon as it arrives.

IF ITS A 800 SECONDARY, BELT DEFLECTION CAN BE TUNED BY REMOVEING SMALL 10 mm SCREWS IN BACK OF SECONDARY, THEY WILL HAVE 2 each VERY SMALL WASHERS. REMOVE ONE WILL DROP BELT SOME. PUT THE CLUTCH SET-UP IN I TOLD YA, YOU WILL BE FINE. 3:16 (yammie tony)

I am following your clutch set- up exactly. I thought the primary may be worn out, sled has high miles and I am newbie to sleds. Thanks for all the fast responses and excellent advice to all on this forum.
