Does anyone know if a Viper crank drops into a Srx crank case? I've heard of it being done and am wondering if any mods are required and what the advantages would be-I believe weight was one factor any others?

GUYS WITH SERIOUS SRX,s SUPPOSEDLY RUN VIPER CRANKS. I GUESS THEY SAY THEIR LIGHTER AND CAN SPIN UP RPM FASTER. COULD BE FOLKLORE. 3:16 (yammie tony)
I have had a Viper crankshaft in my ported[case as well] 2002 SRX. The SRX and viper crankshafts are interchangeable as are the cases from 2000 and up.

2000-2002 srx cases and viper cases are the same. The cranks can interchange and the viper crank is lighter.
