Hello,

Just picked up a 1982 Bravo project sled for the kids. Let the games begin. Paid a big $80 so I thought I would give it a chance.
Turns over, no spark though.
Track looks like it should last a season or two.
Took off seat. Wood rotted out, but foam really good. Tunnel has a little rust, but a little sand paper and paint will fix.
Looks like I need a few odds and ends. Will try to get the motor running first, then will work on seat and cosmetics.

I will try to take pics along the way. I may need to hit up the brains on this site at some point, but we will see how far I can get on my own.

Thanks, took a couple before pics...just have to look up the how to's again on photo uploads. They've invented iPads since I last uploaded a pic.

Maybe there are two pics attached?

Took off seat to discover rotted wood and some rust. Foam is good. Will need to build base and get a seat cover...once I get the engine running. Tunnel and skis will get some paint as well if time permits.

Very cool! I've been lazily looking for a bravo to play with. Lots of possibilities for mods with the older sleds. Even better when they are cheap and in need of some TLC. Looks like a fun little project. Keep us updated!

Ok, so i knew it did not have a spark. so I just replaced the coil as the previous owner had a brand new one. Also hooked up the brand new kill switch. Still no spark. I am assuming that a new cdi is what's needed? Electrical kills me every time. Any ideas? They don't seem cheap, going to hurt my low cost project....any ideas where to get a cheap one?
Thanks!
