I bought a whole new handlebar setup with a riser and extended cables. I have everything out except for the oiler cable. I took off one motor mount bracket and now the rubber is left. What is the method to get that out of the way so I can get to the stop on the end of the cable?

unless your good at standing on your head, I just bite the bullet and unhook the exhaust, carb rack, then remove the bolts from the 4 motor mounts, this will let you tip it forward (engine)some so you can at least see it.
Be very carefull when undoing and tightening up the nut on the cable that holds it to the bracket on the oilpump, reason being those brackets are brittle and i have broken more then 1 of them doing it, so use a little caution there.

Sounds like i should finally buy my torque limiter as well and do that while everything is out of the way.
