steering post seems loose on viper

When i pull up on handlebars it feels like the post moves up a tad. Pops too. Can i tighten this or is it my suspension?
 

I would look for the cause of the movement, it should not move. There are 2 bolts that bolt the steering stem to the frame right below the neck of the steering post. Check those. You Have to remove the air box to get at them. If those are tight check for worn parts at that same spot. Worth looking into. These viper steering posts are not known to break or wear so im guessing the stem has loosened up. Do you have a riser? This will put some extra stress on this area but should not cause any harm.
 
Yes I just installed new bars and riser and everything along with it, but I remember my old handlebars had this same issue, so I will look into it here. Thanks!
