Put an Opticool head gasket on your list of things to install before winter.

Just wondering why you would wrap the pipes??

keeps the heat in the pipes and makes more consistent power, same thing the heat shields do on stock pipes.

I got bender triples on my viper. Would it be worth wrapping the pipes?

I've got the CPR's on mine and I didn't bother wrapping them. The wrap can hold moisture and rust the pipes so it's a give and take thing.
sorry for the thread-jack

I think i will leave the pipes how they are even though my sled is in a heated shop all winter.
YaMmY_ViPeR, You should have no problem beating that f7 if everything is setup right. I dont know how the f7 is compared to the zr900 but i whipped the 900 every race. I think i need to find a f7 and race it this winter
I'd almost b more concerned by the f7. Cc for cc not slot out there quiker. Get all your ducks in a row and u have a chance. If the f7 has been massaged like your viper. Good luck. They gave got to be the most irritating sleds around. Because there so quick. But if u want to beat him race him cross country. You'll pass him on the first comer. They r fast in a straight line but they r a bear to corner well on. F7s suck but there owners r all cocky. We were drag racing one time. Me and my buddy's. this dude on anything f7 pulled up. He would leave us and look back and wave. We all had 600 skidoos so it wasn't they big of deal. We all told one of out buddies to go race I'm on his zr800 that was supposedly built. He said no no. You can race him and handed me his sled. So I lined back up hopin. When the hand dropped that f7 left me like I was hitched. Stupid zr800. What a turd that 800 was. Good luck
