AD Boivin question

No idea

I have lots of experience with the AD Boivin skid. Never ran anti rachets myself because there is absolutely no reason to. The way the skid is designed it simply will not rachet......you can have the track hang down two inches below the rails when the rear end is up in the air and it still wont rachet. That being said, I have a friend who has an AD Boivin and 8 tooth anti rachets and there are no contact issues at all. If you are considering 9 tooth anti rachets I have no idea if there will be any clearance issues.......but again....there is no reason to run them.

Only reason i'm running them is i have them on a viper shaft, in the midst of doing a chassis swap and figured i'd ask before i rebuild my "new" viper. Thanks for the info. Any thoughts on where to send the G Force shocks to have rebuilt?

Also i was reading on the ty.com page under the mod section. In the adjustment charts for this skid they mentioned a special tool to change some settings on the shocks for my rider weight, can i just use tools i have laying around or do i need AD Boivin's tool?

Shocks

On the shock adjustment depending on what generation AD Boivin skid you have there is either two locking rings or a quick adjustor. Either way you can adjust with any shock spring spanner wrench that will fit. On the shocks, send them to REP in Springfield Mass. You can contact them at 413 737 0355. Ask for Tony. Tell him you want them revalved like Matt Sluiter"s. While you are at it have him do the front shocks too.

Matt
