Buddy of mine just bought a '09 Ski-doo 1200 4 tec. Its the Renegade so it has a 137x16x1.25 track with 144 studs. Also says hes got a can, header and tune on it. So naturally I started running my mouth about my SRX :bump: You guys think i stand a chance? I know I'm the underdog here by a lot. I'm running the same setup as last year.....8DF-00's w/ 4.5g in tip, BWB primary, green secondary at 60 degrees, Hauck 51/43 helix, 204 studs, gutted airbox, stock track... I weigh 175 lbs, he weighs 240 lbs :2strokes:
 

I'm pulling for you……… but if I had to guess an outcome. He'll take you by a sled or two out of the hole, stay there till about 80-85, then you start pulling him in, slowly. Its been my experience that these newer sleds just don't have the top end that we do. To bad most races are over by then lol. Good luck and report on the outcome. Well, that's aways off I guess.

EDIT: after alittle research, I'm thinking differently, he'll still squeak out in front alittle from the start, but you'll be around him before a 1/4 mile.

I'd be more concerned with the new 800's, the 1200....... well maybe in the right hands. There's a newer 800 around here that will eat my Viper for lunch and I'll run any stock SRX without much concern.

edit: just paid more attention, you're running the 600. close race.

I DID A CLUTCH KIT LAST YEAR FOR A BUDDIE THAT FOUND A NICE 97 VMAX4 800. SLED SAT AWHILE SO NEEDED A GOOD OVERHAUL, BUT DID HAVE QUAD PIPES.WELL I HAD IT AT MY HOUSE FOR ABOUT A WEEK, FIRST NIGHT OUT I LET MY 150 POUND NEIGHBOR GO RIP IT. UNREAL HE RACES ONE OF THESE 1200 E-TEC SKIDOO,S. I WISH I COULD POST VIDEO, HE WALKED THAT E -TEC LIKE THE GUY SHUT THE KEY OFF. JEFF IS RIGHT, THE 800 XP IS THE TREAT. 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
My buddy has same sled minus the tune and I blew him away with my 01 srx had triple can 192 studs and bender clutch kit
