i have 12000 km on my 01 sxr 700 so im guessing it could use some clutch work. what is involved in a clutch rebuild? and how do i tell if it needs one. talking about the primary btw
Here's the short version: I probably forget something here..
go to a parts site, like hlsm or partszilla:
you will probably need:
roller bushings/maybe rollers if they have flat spots on them.
weight bushings
new spring
new bushings
check for cracks, if there's a line there that doesn't seem like a casting flaw, then replace it. Check spider, stationary sheavy, sliding sheave, primary cap.
You will also need the clutch tools.

grunt tool to remove the spider to change the bushing on your sliding sheave. Or you can just have your dealer do that part of it. shouldn't charge you more than hours labor to change that bushing.
