Hey guys.
So I sold my sled and I just found out about some local grass drags this weekend in my neck of the woods. I was planning on just watching but the wife just sprang the news on me that I could run her stock Viper... Its in like 5 days...
I did find a Heelclicker weight setup in the garage I had left, otherwise I have nothing. I know clutching and gearing is allowed. Seems like a weird track length if I remember like 550 feet?
Any setup info you guys can dish out would be much appreciated...
I don't plan on winning anything, especially with NO tuning time with the short notice and working so much... I would like to at least not be laughed at!

I could order a clutch spring and have it by then. Maybe an Orange one?
I can also gear down the ratio a size with a lower gear my brother has...

Sold my pipes already, but what can I do this thing????

What about weight locations, etc...
I could prob get some like 110 Octane race fuel too?
Never ran on grass before.

HOOK ME UP GUYS......

110 is not gonna help any on a stock motor. Will hurt if any

Case a good chair like that. Other thing is you have 14.5 rollers and clickers dont work good with them

killer no race fuel. that won,t do anything for ya. do you have heel clicker primary spring. also how about a gram scale. very important for tuning heel clickers. 3:16 (yammie tony)

My best bet is drag race jetting, as for clutching:

Nothing in heel, try 5 grams in tip. This will make the clutch engage at 5200 rpm.
Red heeclicker spring.
I guess you can use 14,5 mm rollers IF they do not touch the sheave at full shift. They will probably do that. The 14,5 mm rollers will make the most drive-belt grip of the rollers and make the heelclickers act the heaviest.

red secondary spring at 70 degrees? Test and make sure it does not bog at launch.

main jets are probably gonna have to be like 135's (depends on your temps but 1 jet size isn't going to do anything) leave the pilot alone. Use the red heelclicker spring. plenty of viper heelclicker set-ups on here. what size is the lower gear you have? if it's a 40, 22/40 would work but you'd need a 70 link chain.

U dont think if i jet way down the 110 octane wouldnt maybe help detonation a little?
Just asking....

going down just one wont do much, but it wont hurt, drop 2 or 3 then if you want. what about reed spacers? take the parking brake off etc to lose some weight, and if your up for it since its a short run, and if you have cool down time uninviting all exchangers and making it a small closed loop cooling system to save weight, thats alot of work but hey if your up for it, just pitching ideas.

imo it cant hurt, but i dont know much about race fuel

As Yammi god said do not run the race fuel! High octane fuel will slow you down. The fuel does not burn as fast as regular pump gas. When you run high compression and advanced timing you need the added octane to prevent detonation.

killer i am down to 91 octane non ethanol in three sleds, works great. also becareful making huge drop in jetting. its not that easy. if ya drop mains, you should up pilots, can,t just pull fuel away form a yammie triple. its your call on race fuel, but it won,t work for ya. way overkill. 3:16 (yammie tony)
