srx burnt 3 holes


wow! all three?! yeah i would guess that's oil. usually with lack of oil the bottom end goes first in my experience.
 
I will have to get a look at it myself and report back. He says all 3 are right down on compression, I would think even if oil was the culprit one would lock up first? If the oil pump failed isn't it likely to be stuck open?
 
I have had the oil pump fail on my piped viper. I lost the mag side piston only, I pulled the pump and found it wasn't pumping any oil at all... Not fun being deep in the woods and loosing pistons... :(
