Last year, towards the end of the season, my 700 was acting a little weird. When I hit the throttle hard from stand still or lower RPM (6500 or so), it goes like it should. It's piped, and clutched. Even with the 144" x 1.25" Ripsaw track and 21/40 gears I could hit 103-105 mph (GPS reading). Buuuuut, if I was already riding hard, around 70-80 mph or more and I opened it up it would sputter like, and maybe hit 90 or 95 mph. When this happened, I'd let off the throttle until the RPMs dropped below 6500-6000, then hit it, it would go wide open again. The later in the season, the more it happened. Any ideas to look at this fall while I'm doing the maintenance?
I think it's one thing of these:
-stator. Measure
-carbs Inspect/clean
-clutches. Inspect/clean

What were the temps when it was doing this? My SRX was kinda acting like that later in the season as it was warming up, temps were in the 30's. Could have been running a little rich maybe.

I would venture to guess it is the secondary clutch possibly the primary.
