This may be an odd question but has anyone tried fitting a newer style snow flap onto the proaction sled? Not the molded plastic type like what's on the Apex but there's one sort of like the original one only it has ribs in it.They look like they'd fit right on but I'm wondering how long they are. It's getting harder and harder to find the flaps that came on my SRX's still in good shape let alone a decent blue one and these other ones are on eBay all the time.

Pic? Im wondering if theres enough meat on the top of it to trim it to length. Im still stuck on the pre-proaction flaps lol! I like them though.

i used rx1 flaps on my venture after putting m10 in it, looked much better than the stock one and I think was a couple inches longer

This is the flap I've got on my SRX, I think it's the Apex flap, it does hang a little low but fits nice.

Cool I wondered what the molded plastic one would look like on there.
The one I originally saw is in this link.

I have the flap you speak of on my viper
The rigid flaps look better and are stiffer. I'm running a cobra track and the flap i have lets a lot of the snow right by as its very flimsy. Does it bother me. no just the people behind me riding a little to close. The holes line right up no modifications needed.

If memory serves me correctly, the flap is 12-15'' long. It will probably be touching the snow installed on an SRX or something with the "not-so-long travel" pro action.
But once up to speed it will likely just hang in the air.

I've got a mono skid in my 98 and I've got a set of shocks with the Maxx long travel conversion to be rebuilt and put in my 01.I may just try one of the rigid ones on my 98.

I like mine. I also have an apex bumper so the bumper mounts on the outside of the tunnel not the inside like the viper. That lets you mount the flap an inch or two higher if needed.

thats the flap I installed on my long tracked SXR last Spring,it is longer but will be fine,on a SRX it would be down to the floor..a little to low maybe.shaggyzr2 said:This is the flap I've got on my SRX, I think it's the Apex flap, it does hang a little low but fits nice.[/IMG]

Well if I do get one I'll be putting it on my 98 with the mono skid so I'm thinking it'll be ok.
