I'll admit I stole the idea from one of the members here (sorry I can't remember your name at the moment).

I've been busy tonight!! Painted my screens white. Took longer than I thought it would (ever watch paint dry??? :o| ) Put my new carbides on too... but you can't see them (if you look close at my nasty metal skis, you can see the nice new shiny nylock nuts).

Here's a shot. click on it for better resolution.

good job,we just did my wifes uncles srx screens, the previous owner painted them red,it looked horrible.-Harvey

drilled out the rivets... painted the screens, then re-riveted them on. Did it all in about 3-4 hours including paint time. Had to remove the hood entirely to get the one in the nose... kinda a pain but got it done!

Git er done!!!

I like being original. I customize most of my toys in some form or another. You should see the paint job on my boat. Don't have a pic of it here at work... I don't think....

Here's a distant pic of me running my boat at a radar run at Lake Of The Ozarks... doesn't do justice to the paint job though... But you gotta love the roost!!

Waterfoul,
My eyes may be bad, but I think I can pick a baja out from a 100 miles away,
what is it a 240 a 280? Been down there many of times, be nice to go back one
of these days. My dad had a 280 a few years ago now has a 25 outlaw SST if you have any better pics post, even if its not a Baja love to see nice boats!

Yup, 1987 Baja 240 Sport (later called the 24 Outlaw). When that pic was taken I had about 450-460 hp and it would run about 64 mph on GPS. I made two runs that day and overtrimmed both times and only managed 60 mph. I was pissed!

On my home computer I have TONS of boat pics. I do poker runs (when I have the money) and holiday weekends at various places (Put-In-Bay Ohio is another fun place!), Grand Haven, LOTO, Milwaukee, etc... BUT, I blew the motor up June of 03 and haven't really touched it since. No desire to build it back up only to blow it up again (I run it fairly hard). I now have a long block 454 to start with so this year I'll hit the water again. Might not go far with gas prices where they are... 100 gallon tank and I can burn it ALL in one day!

Here's a shot of the cockpit on a local charity run (run by a club I'm a founding member of). Oh hell, this site won't post very big pictures and I don't have a resizer here at work. Oh well.

sucks you had to take the hood off. i just losened the bolts for the hood and if you get the right angle it fits just right. looks good though.

I couldn't get the bottom chin screen back in without scratching the bejeezus out of it... so I took the hood off. Hung it from the ceiling at just the right angle and height so that when I took the nuts off the hinges, it just hung there, barely moved. But it gave me enough room to get the screen back in no sweat!

I have some USI PS201's arriving any day now!! Not in time for my ride this weekend in the UP, but next week for sure. I had to buy new carbides this week for the metal skis... bummer. They were well beyond helping me steer!! Oh well.... $65 down the drains for one weekends riding.
