This might be a strange question?? but I need someone who knows sleds well to help me with a few things on my SX 700 and to teach me. I'd be willing to reasonably pay you for your time and travels. I am located in southern WI. I am mechanically inclined, just not super confident with working on sleds. I need clutching and some general maintenance help so I can ride this season! Please message me or reply if you could help a brother out. Thank you!

Well there are plenty of users within a 100 mile radius of Madison... sometimes you have to work with us when its free....

I am an hour from Madison and would be willing to spend a day at my shop if you want to bring the sled to Richland Center.

I'd be willing to pay someone was what I was saying. Asking to drive to me and help me out all for free would be pretty low on my part. I'd certainly pay anyone for help and most importantly their time out of the day to help me.MrSled said:Well there are plenty of users within a 100 mile radius of Madison... sometimes you have to work with us when its free....

Thanks for the advice man, I might take you up on that offer sometime if you'd like to work something out. It'd be about an hour and half drive but could be worth it to learn some things. I have been extremely busy with getting trails brushed, bridges to redo and getting my sleds done not to mention still have 3 groomers to get ready. I may bee able to help you next sunday I will be in touch. I should have you get some clutch rebuild parts so we could just tear yours apart and rebuild them. I will be in touch with you soon.

I'm not sure as to HOW bad the clutches are but they work... The belt squeals sometimes meaning the clutches aren't aligned I believe? The skis have play in them where they meet the spindles. Rides alright, should have more travel in the suspension. Was overheating from the mouse issue but I'd think draining and getting new coolant in there should help or fix that problem. The front ends of the skid rails are loose and wiggle/shake around on the rails if that makes sense... Runs well and is an extremely reliable sled. They are quick and very fun too.

Im amazed daily at the generosity of our members.... Glad you got some of the help you needed and some new experience with working on sleds.
also, take some time to add the sleds you own/ride to your profile, or add them to a signature line. This helps our members know what sled your asking questions about and will get you quicker responses.
Good luck with the sled repairs

Thanks Sno! And Eric, after about two weeks now the parts will be here monday from yamahapart.com which is in Flemmington, NJ... It was the cheapest I could find + free shipping on $50+ orders, so that was good at least. Thanks guys! 4 more inches on the ground here now!
