I just got a used reverse kit for my Viper and I was surprised to see it came with a new chain case. My question is do I need to change out my chain case or just install all the reverse parts in what's in my sled. Not sure if there's a different chain case for reverse or not. Thank you.

i believe the inside part is the same... youll just need the guts and the outer cover

That's what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure. I guess its better to get more parts than you need instead of not enough. Plus I now have an extra chain case.
Guts and cover are all that is different...

The reverse kit parts diagram shows the new outside cover. You can always look at the microfiche of the chain case to be sure.

Thanx for the reply's. I think I got a good deal on a used reverse for $250 and it the guy sent the entire chain case. It will be so nice to not tug it out of the garage every time I go for a ride.

Super good price on that reverse. You will need the guts and cover for the reverse, and like you said you will have a extra standard chain case as a spare or sell. You can get $75 to $100 for your chain case complete. I ended up with 3 extra chain cases complete when i did my reverse and sold them all.
