03 Viper. Trying to get it registered and need to provide a pencil tracing or picture of the VIN on the sled. The tunnel decal is gone. Ive read on here that the number is also stamped on the right side of the block.
the 03 is still in PA and I am down here in NC. I have 2 srx's and another viper here....and none of the vin's match the numbers on the cases...not enough digits...and the ones that are there don't match anyway, so I am assuming the 03 will be the same story.
Any ideas?
Thinking I might have to get a stamping kit and stamp it into the tunnel...

Yes if it was a factory tunnel it should have VIN stamped near the foot well on the right hand side. I have read on here that replacement tunnels weren't stamped with any vin #s.

That's right, the factory tunnel should be stamped. I recently bought a SRX with a replacement tunnel that has no stamp. All I have is an old registration I found in the seat with a partial number. we'll see how that pans out.

No stamping here either. Called Yamaha and they are sending some sort of documentation confirming the vin. Thinking about stamping it myself. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-4-Steel-M...08599889?pt=US_Hand_Tools&hash=item231ce49d51
