clutch balancing.

well here is the story, bought the sled from some guy who looks like he had the primary off and doped it, and dented the outer edge. then yesterday my hand caught the little dented piece and broke it off. it is very very thin and light think it will mess up the balancing of the clutch, i don't even think its a gram.

Make a template and grind all there the same. Or, have the dust mod cut into it. If you have a motorcycle wheel balancer they will work.
 
If it was a skidoo, no, might fix it. yamaha clutches are pretty close to start with. I would at least remove an equal amount from the other three sides.

Dust mod removes that outer curve down to the bottom. It lets all the crap that is held in there by centrifugal force fly out.
 
ment to add, balancing on a wheel balancer, only gives a static balance and does not tell you which side is heavier like a dynamic balancer.
 
Really? I have an electronic one in the shop that spins the wheel up then tells you how much weight to add and where.
