anybody ever use a hauck 835 kit and how good is it? is it reliable, any burn downs, are the walls too thin, etc? are these the stock cylinders bored or are they different cylinders bored? lookin at buying one and got offered a decent price and wanted to get some input before shellin out the dough$$$$!!! thanks!!!

hey sxv, do you have any more pics of that sno cross viper in your avatar? If you do could you send them to me? thanx

p.s., about the 835, I dont know about what Hauck is doing, but I have worked on a few Bender 835's, they are a sleeved cylinder, I didnt care for them because they use cast iron sleeves, they dont wick the heat away from the piston as fast as a aluminum cylinder with nicasil, this used to be a big differance back in my day of the old srx440's, ones with sleeved cylinders did not run the same as non sleeved ones, pretty big differance too. Call up hauck, see if they are cast iron sleeves or not???

mrviper, i will look around in my pics to see if i have anymore. i got them off the website that shows that new race vector (the red white and blue one) if i do, i'll post them on here. so what your saying is an aluminum sleeve is what i want? do these big 835's burn down a lot, many problems with them? thanks a ton!!!

whats the website where the pics are? can you provide a link for me? I want to look at a few things on the snow cross viper. I dont know that the 835's burndown alot, but If I were building one for myself, I would look at advanced sleeve, they can make you aluminum sleeves, then have them nicasiled, that would probally be a bit more money upfront, but the beast would really run good, and would not have cooling problems that way. Bender suggest using bigger coolers with thier 835.(sleeved iron liners again...)

an engine you should look into but they are nearly impossible to find was that factory sno-cross 800 motor. They make much more horsepower then any of these big bores on the market today. The hp was dynoed right above 200 hp! Just a thought, they are hard to find but run like hell.

well, geeze 2000, coulda told me that before i bought the 835!!! just kidding, ya i bet i'd never find any of them old racers. i bet they all found homes somewhere for a long time... oh well, i still got something that will get me from point A to point B pretty quick! hehe ;):D thanks anyways!!!
