Guys on well into my fall project on going thru the 2000 SRX I purchased this fall. Its been an absolute blast. Had the apexes and vectors and now going old school. Here is my question. Got the skis and trailing arms off. Flipped the shock mounts to gain an inch in height. Now I have my wifes old Vector skis like new to put on. Just looking at the skis side by side the 2000 has the ski saddle which puts it over an inch higher ski mount than the Vector ski. I don't want to loose what I gained by flipping the shock mounts. Any of you gurus run into this. I could use the 2000 skis in a pinch but they are pretty beat and ski handle busted. I was thinking of modifying the ski saddle and adapting them to fit the vector ski. Ive gone this far what the hell. Think snow boys.

Thanks for the reply. That's probably what I will do. As I said I'va had a blast working on this sled. My wife and I made a weekend trip to Maine and picked it up little north of you in Sydney. Great people I bought it from. Thanks again

I'm kinda going through the same thing right now. I picked up a 2000 SRX last spring and it came with the newer style skis. I was going to run the newer skis but I came across a good deal on a set of the original SRX skis. I'm going to try both sets of skis out this winter and see which one seems to work better. I do like how it sits a bit higher with the SRX skis vs the other ones.

Skis

In my opinion ditch the stock Skis. They are aggressive and dart quite a bit. I use C&A pros on all my Yamaha's. SRX, Viper, RX1 Warrior, XTc. Night and day difference. Other aftermarket skis may be just as good. Once you go aftermarket you will never go back to stock.

I probably spent more hours looking at aftermarket skis than anything else. The catch is I took those funds and put towards the airwave suspension and boss seat. Probably next season for the new skis. Trying to use what I have one hand.its gonna be a great winter.
