I picked a 98 srx over the weekend and while looking it over I noticed that the sheave bushing was sticking out by a 1/4-1/2 in into the area where the belt sits in the clutch. Is this fixable or is the clutch junk?

if its a failed bushing, its replacable. if the bushing failed and went unnoticed to the point of eating in to the clutches metal, most likely toasted clutch.
could be a home job bad install. spider needs to come out to verify.

I'm going to pull it off tomorrow and see if I can rig up something to spin the spider off.
In hoping that its ok. The sheaves are perfect. No grooves or heat cracking.
