What is the best lift/dolly to use on a 92-96 Vmax?

Earlier this spring I purchased the wrong type of dolly to move my sled around in the barn and am now in need of member's suggestions on what has worked for you all. The one I have works well for trailing arm sleds as it picks up along the arms...on a Vmax you will crush the side panels with this lift....Viper on this lift in attached pic

3-piece dolly sets: They are 3 separate pieces, usually formed metal (some versions are plastic) with casters. 1 dolly per ski, and 1 dolly under the track. Many manufacturers and styles available to choose from. On most the casters swivel so you can push the sled sideways or spin the sled around right in place, etc.

Most have small wheels so they are only good on hard surfaces, although some have larger wheels that may get you thru hard packed ground/gravel.

I'd be wary of the plastic versions, some may be good quality but the ones I've seen were not, primarily due to the crappy plastic chair-type casters that don't hold up well.

These are a good all-around set:

Maybe you could place some 1"x4" where the lift contacts the belly pan (side panels) on the Vmax to distribute the weight.

I use this style to move all my sleds. all you need to do is cut a piece of 2in tubing to go between the insides of the feet. I slide one side on, then lift up the other, and slide the foot into it. I have been using it for years to move sleds with no trailing arms, 4 strokes with no trailing arms and my vmax 4. works great

Thanks for the info all.

I may attempt the 2" tubing idea..but my main goal is to not have to do much lifting of the sled anymore...crappy back! I have the small wheeled pads that go under the skiis and track and with those you always have to lift the sled up a fair amount. That was never an issue until last summer when I injured my stupid back while lifting a truck box at an awkward angle.

Something like this is what I am considering..http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...=CfDeR15VWqV_DZTYB3ijbw&bvm=bv.55980276,d.aWc

I have that slide under one too. I only use it to move sleds around in the shop, and then sometimes, it wont work because you can not move the sled sideways.

I saw someone had a drive on dolly for the gararge. It had casters at three corners and was in the shape of a T no lifting but I would guess you wouldn't want to be standing behind it when he drove off of it.
