I am looking for information on rejetting these sleds for the 4000ft. to 6000 ft. in elevation. These sleds are jetted now for about 1200ft elevation. I know they need to be leaner but how much? All help is appreciated!! :letitsnow

First sled a 99 phazer 500 fan.

Second a 98 vmax XTC Deluxe 500

Thanks Brian

Brian,
Here are the baseline jetting specs I have for an sx 500 out of my manual, mind you there are different jet specs for different ranges of temperature, and todays fuels have not been accounted for in these specs so you may want to run a step richer...
For 0 to 20*F @ (3300 - to 4900')Main jet(MJ) 146.3, Jet Needle(JN) 1.5
20-40*F 145MJ, JN1.5
For the same temps
0 - 20*F 4900 - 6600' MJ 143.8, JN 1.5,
20-40*F MJ 142.5, JN 1.5

Sorry I have no info on the Fans cooled sled.

Thanks for your reply. I am thinking to take out the jets and see what size they are and call a Yamaha shop out in South Dakota in the Black Hills area and see if they can give me a good idea.
