Is there supposed to be a screen over the fuel pump vent hole (the center hole on the bottom side of the pump)? I removed all the silicone from mine yesterday, to replace it with a rubber gasket. There was black debris on the silicone so that makes me wonder if there was protection over the hole to keep dirt out. If so, can I still use this pump as-is? (see picture)
