I bought a set of HID's high/low beam for my 98 srx 700 and i put it in ans hooked it all up, started the sled and the HID flickered and then would not come on anymore, so i tried the other set, same result, the high beam works which is the stock yellowish white color but the hid low beam will not work, can anyone help?

I thought you had to have a battery installed on your sled to get it to work

I think you might need a battery for the initial lighting "burst". But I do remember reading something about a kit without a battery.

Man not sure what you have going on. HID's only work with a battery on the 2 strokes. HI/LOW. On a hid does not change anything but the position the light is projected. Ive put these on my vipers with no troubles. Not sure what's going on. More info and pics of what you did. What kind of hid, who's kit, do you have proper harness ect....

Almost sounds if you just bought the bulbs and hooked them up to your stock wiring? You need a wire harness and balast that runs off a battery. As said above need more info!

I have hid's on my vehicles and know how they work, i just forgot about the battery part, never put hid's in a sled before.

Yup you need a battery. The only problem is the battery needs to be wired in so it charges or it will drain the battery and your HID's will not work. Do a search as i know Betheviper knows how to do this. He has posted how in threads on HID's or just PM him. I have Electric start on all my sleds so its wired to the charging system and worked awesome all last season. Great upgrade.
