Just playing in the man cave putting a few finishing touches on the sled i have home. Odd though came to mind. I keep my clutch's off and in the house for storage. Now its 30 deg out and the crank end is cold, the clutch is nice and warm. Will the cold contract the crank end and the warm expand the clutch end enough to make a difference when i torque them down. Was just a thought i had and wondered? I was thinking when the crank end warmed up it would expand and make it harder to pull clutch off. Or am i over thinking that one. LOLOLO!!!

HMMM, not sure it would matter or not. My garage is heated so everything is the same temp. Sounds like you need some heat in the mancave Chris.

Your theory is very sound. IMO 30 degrees shouldn't be cold enough to shrink the crank that much. Combination of cold crank warm clutch could be a problem. I would leave clutch out there long enough to be same temp before putting it on.

This is what I did. I don't think 30 deg is enough to make a difference on crank or not. If 0 deg out an a 100 in the house maybe. I put it on after a few hours out in cold. I'm sure all is good.
