first off, I still have my 01 srx 700. I did however purchase a 09' rev xp mxz 600 etec. Im wondering if anyone else has a rev xp that they ride. I will be registering both sleds and plan to use my srx on some trips up country on the railroad bed as it is faster than the rev. However I think I could get used to the revs handling and comfort. Anyone have any tips or tricks for the rev? be nice...
 
Oh that's not going to the dark side, having a Ski Doo is perfectly acceptable for a 2nd sled.

An Artic Cat is definitely frowned upon. That side doesn't get any darker.
 
My buddy has a an 08 rev xp 600 SDI which just a little different than yours engine wise but in a long track version Renegade, the ride is nice you just have to get use to it, it's like riding a ATV your up quite abit more than the SRX

As for any tips install a 1 1/2 ripsaw a 43/47 reverse cut Dalton helix with a green secondary everything else stock
 
The sled has a new 1 1/4 ice ripper track, and that's about it. I'm going to ride it with that track this year to see how I like it

Weird that you say that seeing how the new viper is essentially a Artic Cat in Yamaha clothing.
 
My previous sled was a 2009 XP 500SS. It had a carbureted 600cc engine and the TNT package (which adds rebuildable shocks, a low windshield, curved bar ends, and non-storage seat).

Pros: Styling, comfort, 16mpg fuel economy, suspension that soaks up the big "oh crap" bumps like nothing, reliability (probably), and light weight (425lbs with e-start).

Cons: The XP has the worst gages I've ever seen. The tachometer rotates counter-clockwise (I call that backwards) and the 0-200mph speedometer is annoying/useless. I had a few other complaints too but they were personal and probably could have been resolved with a taller windshield and a can.

I'd like to own a new Skidoo with an e-tec or a 900 ACE... after they redesign the gages. I'd opt for the extended warranty; repair costs on the e-tec can be steep.
