I am looking for a set of carbs for my 93 Exciter II 570 LE.
Not sure if it is true but one Yamaha dealer told me that only 91-93 carbs will fit. BS or not?
I am looking at a set of 93SX carbs. Not sure if the heads are available. Will they work on my sled?
What about older 80s Exciter II carbs?
One of my carbs had a nail holding the float and it wasn't working that well.Ran way too lean. The carb body broke while trying to remove it.The rest of the sled is mint and strong.Winters near here and the Jonesing in starting to settle in.
Thanks Ray

Check with AL's snowmobile down in Newport Vermont. They are the used sled parts superstore for the northeast. They have just about one of everything. All the parts are pulled, inspected and catalogued then put on the shelf, it's not some sketchy pick a part kind of operation

From memory...'87 Exciter had butterfly carbs, '88-93 had 38mm slide valve carbs (with power jets, I think!) and '93 SX had 38mm flat slides. Flat slides would be the best but, shorter bodies so you may have to mess with airbox etc.

Any idea what jets would be needed.I do not have the sx heads.
