Anyone test same day same track to see if there is an advantage to running the big 48s or do they lack acceleration vs the 44 mm carbs. Mikunis

Seen a gain on the dyno going from 44 to 46, then 48+
Each change takes more to tune / jet
Never took the time to swap at the track back to the small carb, didn't see a need to.
The old carbs 46 went on other srx's at the track.

What engine are we talking about here toydoc? I want to try a few different carb options on a mod v max 4 we are building. This engine is being set up to run at 11000 rpm'. Would love to try a few different carbs while it's on the track Dyno to see what the results are.

JOHN, BIGGEST I USED WAS .44 mm ON MOD 440 SRX. WORKED GREAT. BUT LIKE CHRIS POST, EVERY STEP BIGGER, TUNE ALL OVER AGAIN. 3:16 (yammie tony)

jabber this is my 76 SRX. Stopped at 49.2mm because it ran out of aluminum.
For the vmax4, 800 mod with stock intake boots I'm running 44 trons, 1000 mod price intake 48 crankshop T slides.
You really have to want it to find more hp with some mods, so if you just swap them and make 15 pulls it's likely you'll go back to the old setup.
You jet up, down, sideways. Pull carbs, pull intakes. Make plugs for boost bottle. Add to intake, shorten intake. Bump timing. Wrap pipe, un-wrap.
20 pulls a night x lots of nights you make most thing work. Was it just one mod or bored carb, no. Was it worth the 3 hp for all the time and work? Up to each person
Hope that helps

I fully understand. We put a lot of time into small improvements. But its those small improvements that accumulate and give you the chance to win!! I have stock and billet intakes. I should have what I need to get things done!!!!
