I had been flipping through one of my parts books and came across a SLP light weight can for the viper. It claims to save 8lbs and gain 4hp while maintaing a reasonable sound level. Are the hp gains accurate and is jetting required? I don't want to compromise its reliability either. Is this thing worth paying the $265?

I had good results with my mountain max when I put on an mbrp race can and vForce reeds. This will spark a huge debate, stock vs non stock and just drill your stock can. From a weight point of view on a mountain sled it was a no brainer.

If you do a search, this a highly discussed topic. You will find that most guys gained no power, actually lost hp, with a can. The weight savings is nice though!

Ya I don't want to lose any horse power(who would) and I don't real care about how it sounds. The weight savings are not enough to get me to spend that kind of $.
