how do i remove the jackshaft outer bearing in the chaincase cover? do i need a puller or should it slide out?

You should use a blind puller, but some guys heat up the outside of the cover just a little bit until it pops out.
That's the easiest way I've found to do it,just use a propane torch to heat the outside of the cover where the bearing sits and it'll pop right out by tapping the cover against a bench top or something.
