My Srx acts as if it hitting a rev limiter around 3000 rpms. Bypass tors same thing once I can get it above 3000 it runs fine but once I let it below 3000 it's stuck there. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks
Well if you've got the TORS bypassed then check the other electrical things like the plugs,plug caps or any loose wire connections.Check for wire rub throughs in a couple of spots like under the engine and under the handlebar pad.Other than that about the only other thing I might suggest would be a CDI swap to see if it goes away.

I did some research and learned about the rub throughs on this sled and found quite a few been through all wiring and repaired all rub throughs. Almost every wire under the engine was rubbed through. I was hoping it wasn't the Cdi
I'm not sure that it is the CDI but I know guys that have had a CDI go bad and they've had some pretty odd symptoms show up in the way their engine runs.If you do decide to get another one I have 2 here,one was the original off my 98 ( same as 99) plus a spare I bought years ago.The spare is good too because I put it on and tried it to make sure.I've since converted my electronics over to '00 so I don't need these any more.

Another thing you could check is look threw the hole in the cases to see if theres rust on the flywheel. Rust could be making signal hankey to pick up coil in that RPM range. If yes pull the re-coil and clean it up. process of elimination

With u on the flywheel it was rusty replaced it with a nice used one I picked up. Stator pick up test on spec per manual. My flywheel was rusty but no change

Are you running under load( on the ground) or on a jack stand? If you have tried both already is there any difference? Are your clutches shifting out? Belt shot? Bearing in skid or jackshaft seized? One other not so obvious is check your exhaust for blockage or your Can? I had a baffle in my vmax can break and block the exhaust... just a couple more Ideas. good luck

Does the same thing if on ground or if the tracks up definitely not blocked exhaust.

Does anyone know if I still have spark could my Cdi be bad?? I found a lot of rub throughs thinking it got shorted out. Has anyone had one go out?
