My sleds mains are, 152.5 on PTO side and 151.3 on the rest, pilots are 47.5, not sure what notch the clip is on the needles. anyone else jetted that rich? I bought the sled in april when the temps were in the upper 30's and it was doggy on top end, I haven't had a chance to run it in colder temps yet so I have no idea how it will run with these jets. I have the carbs off now and was wondering if it would be a good idea to drop the jetting down a bit now as long as I have it apart or just leave it the way it is? One other thing, I measured the oil pump cable and it looks like it's at about 16-17mm, should that be set to the 20-22mm like the manual recommends or will the current setting be ok?

As far as the jetting, is everything stock? Cold Air Kit?
Oil, I would leave it for now and check the oil ratio when you get a chance to ride it.

I just measured the oil pump cable again and it's actually 18mm. As far as I know the sled is stock, no cold air kit, stock pipes, it does have a viper crank in it but I don't think that should matter.

I guess if it were me I'd wait and do some plug and piston wash readings before I changed anything.

Yeah....as soon as we get some more snow I'll have to take it out and see how she does with that jetting.

so if its got a viper crank in it, its been opened up and I would say its not stock, it could have ported cylinders, cut heads who knows what in there then. Thats alot richer then stock settings, way way rich on the pilot jets.
Like the others already said, i would run it foirst then read the plugs and the piston wash but more then likely youll need to lean that back some. For sure even if it was ported, and all done up its not gonna need a 47.5 pilot jet with stock pipes.

So if it doesn't need the 47.5 pilots what do you think it should have in there? I do have a set of 42.5's I could put in there. I'm pretty sure Hauck did the jetting on this thing when they rebuilt it.
