Cleaning my carbs and my pilots were are 2 turns
What was I thinking ...lol

No idea they were all like that
Maybe I was having beers while doing it last year
You would think it would have affected performance

only when you where riding and they fell off..then you may have felt something...better go over the whole sled now, imagine what might be loose in the skid now...lmao

With two turns should I not have been fouling plugs??

What are you talking about??? The Pilot jet or the pilot jet adjustment screw? We always run the adjustment screw at 2 maybe 2.125 out from seated position. The adjust ment screw has a tension oring and spring loaded. As for fouling plugs, the pilots basically run the idle circuit and mixes in the off idle to 1/4 throttle. Unless you are running very slow speeds, the plugs should not foul. We change our plugs every year whether they need it or not, basically every 2k miles. I like to change the plugs after fall start up and the fog oil is all cleaned out as well as the Vipers' power valves.

Since we changed the Startron a couple seasons back the carb bowls are extreamly clean with no signs of any Ethonal deposits. It works for us. Al

Yes the pilot on bottom of carbs
Isn't stock spec 1-1/8 or something around there?

Yes stock spec is 1-1/8 but people had problems with idle hang, turning the screws to 2 out from seated seems to rectify the situation. My viper and srx both are set and 2 out.
