I'm just a newby here going through the pre season maintenance so I have another question...BTW I got my carbs done and its running much better now. Most of the wheels look good but the suspension wheels (not sure that's the correct name but they are the upper ones in behind the tunnel) are questionable so I'm gonna replace them. However they seem to be stuck on really good. Are they a press fit or should I just soak them with WD-40 and let it sit? Also, can I buy the bearing separate or do they come already assembled in the wheel? Thanks

Those are press fit they need a good wack to get them off, don't make the same mistake I did and just pound them with a hammer, you'll mess up the end, I mushroomed mine because the shaft is aluminum. I had to grind and re-tap the hole to get the new bearing and screw back in. I believe the bearings are replaceable in those ones.

i pounded mine off, just take your time and use something softer than the aluminum i used a hockey puck with a little recces drilled into it so it stays on the shaft and pounded away! now that's canadian ahahaha

Finally got it off....man what a job! Looks like I will have to buy the whole wheel, I'm pretty sure the bearing doesn't press out of the wheel

I think you can put SRX wheels on it, they're cheaper and I believe later you can replace the bearings in those wheels. I think the same goes for the bottom. The Rear wheels can be replaced by the SRX ones, which also have replaceable bearings. If you want the OEM standard Viper wheels your looking at like 80$each when you buy the SRX ones its like $20 each. I just had to replace these on my Sled, big price difference and with the option to replace the bearings later, no brainer for me.

There is no snap ring on this wheel....looks like a one piece unit to me. The diameter of the one I took out is about 6.9" but my local parts shop can only get a 7". Hopefully it will work

From what I've read about Vipers, the wheel is molded to the bearing so it's replaced as an assembly but as others have suggested, use SRX wheels since the bearing is serviceable... and cheaper.

My issue is with the difference in axle size and all of the little parts i need (spacers, bushings, etc). has anyone replaced these and what additional parts are needed since the original wheels have a replacement upgraded wheel?
