what is the good and bad about tempa flow for a ported engine ...

I would think it would be fine.Just have to warm up motor properly and don't take off like a bat out of hell. After a few minutes of riding then you can open it up.I used to run tempa flow in my 600 and never had a problem..being ported I would guess you want to punch it out right away. But if you just ride for a minute or two until the temps are consistent under the hood and then give her...lol

just jet her properly from the beginning and don't bother with the tempa flow then

I had installed dial a jets on a 2001 SXR 700 and I liked it. It seemed to help with varying temps. Its a little involved to install, but not too bad.
does it help to lean the engine during the warm days ?? is it friendly or its badass to play with

tempa blow..........................youll get good at replacing pistons with the crown burned off the front edge!
what about dial a jet don ??

Yes he certainly will,I suffered 3 burndowns as a result of the temperamental nature of the temp flow, stopping for a short period of time and taking off without being too careful with the throttle.
Modsrx if I was to put on another jetting compensator I think I'd lean towards a dial a jet,it's set manually instead of automatically like the tempa flow but as long as you remember to set it back when the temps drop I think you'll be happier than replacing pistons and cylinders.
thnx that's sounds good to me

The dial a jets are fairly easy to play with. I checked my plugs a lot when I first installed them to make sure I wasn't running lean. After a while you'll know what setting to use for what temperature. Just carry a thermometer with you and you'll figure it out quick. They work good, but its not like fuel injection that's for sure. All in all I did like them.
