Viper needle s'éteignent

I'm little bit confused.
I cleaned my carb and I decided to raise my needle a bit to be safe. The clip was at the third position and r
One washer under and the other upper the clip . It's mean 2.5 !!! I Never had a problem last year. I'm thinking to put the two washer under. I already red Mr. Viper's post and he suggest 3.25. Position 4 with the two clips on the top if my comprehension is good

You are correct on all accounts. Stock is position #3 (the center groove on the needle with both washers on the bottom side of the clip). I just moved mine up to 3.25 to be safe (I moved the clip down 1 groove and put both shims on top of the clip).

I bought this sled last year and I ran it all the winter whit the needle at 2.5 and tempa flow whitout issue. I probably lucky !
